Theatertreffen 2012 – Interdisciplinary, intercultural, performative

The Olympics of German-speaking theatre opened in Berlin on 4 May 2012 with the premiere of Sarah Kane’s “Cleansed / Crave / 4.48 Psychosis”, directed by Johan Simons. ‘Time’ and ‘the collective’ are the most prevalent themes at this year’s Theatertreffen.

7th Berlin Biennale

Art enthusiasts in Berlin can experience one of most influential festivals of contemporary art, the 7th Berlin Biennale, until 1 July 2012. The festival is hosting some 50 international projects that address political developments in Eastern Europe, processes of upheaval in the Middle East, and much more.
